« on: October 22, 2009, 05:46:43 PM »

naselle grays or elochaman update anyone, love fishing both of these rivers when the fish are in. thinking of taking pontoon boat down the naselle but its probably over a hundred miles one way.  i used to live alot closer before i was married and fished it non stop in the fall when the upper river opened.  if anyone can update or pm me if they have any info i would owe you.  thanks

ps.  fished cowlitz this weekend it was for a time on friday and saturday on fire up by the toutle.

the naselle is probably the only show in that area right now, the grays closed october 15th and the elochoman no longer gets a hatchery salmon plant.

i don't know a lot about the naselle any more other than the access sucks unless you own property on it.  never fished it for salmon, just steelhead when it used to be better fishing.  the grays used to be a river you didn't talk about in public, but the past few years it hasn't even been worth fishing, since the steelhead plant got cut by 3/4 and F&H ran a bunch of "go there" articles a few years back.  too bad they didn't go tits up before they printed those.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

Talked to a guide buddy today. He got 24 silvers yesterday on the Cow. He ended up with 8 qrts of eggs. I might blow off deer hunting 1 day this weekend and fish.
