The picture was taken by Tom Soucek in 1993. I met Tony Russ (author of the book) a couple times at various events. He is a Dall Sheep killing fool, and a super nice guy that was more than willing to share information with folks that asked the right questions. He used to be a guide and does most now with a bow from the draw hunts... The world record Dall hung in Wildlife Museum at Fort Richardson for years. They closed down the Post museum in 2007 for office space and I don't have a clue where it went, maybe over to Elmendorf AFB museum?

?? It was shot by Harry Swank in 1961. I think it is still the number #1.... It's B&C score was 189 and 6/8 inches. 48 and 5/8 inches on the right and 47 and 7/8 on the left... It was a stud- something to get anyone interested in Sheep for sure.... Sorry didn't mean to sound like Cliff Claven..... But had the book right in front of me when I saw this post...
