Sako A7
« on: October 18, 2009, 09:05:02 PM »
Has anyone got any experience with one. I handled one and it is definitely half Tikka/Sako. Still has 5 shot guarantee. Sure like my Sako's & Tikka's but trying to decide if this is good compromise. You do get a new camo coat with purchase.

I own a Sako A7 In 300 WSM and I love it , A great upgrade from my Remmy 700 30-06 .
I also shoot 1 inch 5 shot groups with about 3 in one hole, better than my dads kimber 84 in 300 wsm.
My advice is Buy it, But beware the Kickback !.

Went to Cabela's tonight and picked up all three; Sako Finnlight, Sako A7, Tikka.

Loved everything about the Finnlight especially the cheek piece and all metal magazine. The Sako A7 hada smoother action over the Tikka and like the safety with bolt release. The Tikka is pure nonsense hunting rifle.

All pointed nice and wouldn't mine own any of them just by looks and feel alone. Siince money is an object I do not feel and the the A7 is worth the extra money over the internet legend Tikka. Although, if money was no object or had some just laying around the Finnnlight is should be your new rifle.

I own a Sako 85 Finnlight, 300 win mag
Fantastic rifle, great trigger and safety. If within your price range I could not think of a better rifle for the price.

finnlight is very nice and bought one a couple years ago. Was looking in the .22-250 cal and it is not available in finnlight. Marketing thing I think.
