Went to montana a couple days before season to look for a spot to hunt elk. Saw lots of elk and some really big bulls but they were all behind no hunting signs we asked for permission several places but had no luck. Came home opening day and did;nt hunt but are going back for deer the middle of nov and we do have places to hunt. Saw several stores and resteraunts that had signs out saying free pizza and beer and hamburger and shake if you bring in a wolf.There were a lot of welcome hunter signs out but not as many as there were no trespassing signs. Still had fun it;s such beautiful country deer were all over but were waiting for the rut.
