Yeah, carrying out a lantern may not be a bad idea. We generally use flashlights. I guess I always figure, if there are many trucks in the parking lot..you can bet all the best ponds are taken.
It's very hard to hunt with the pheasant hunters out there. I am not sure how to solve this one. We had dogs running through our decoys, one came into our blind...his owner was looking for him. He was running like a wild man!! It's kinda discouraging when they have no control over their dogs. Thankfully, our lab just laid their and didn't care about the dog in the blind. I could only imagine what would've happened though with a protective dog.
Then they hang out around the ponds screaming..and of course in bright orange. I know it's not their fault that it's the only place left but golly it's frustrating!!
