News paper story says "class a misdomeaner" not much more than a speeding ticket.  :bash:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

That has to be one of the most impressive blacktails I've ever seen! You can really see the mass on the first couple of pics.

Sorry to be the one to say it Track-er.  The Sandy (OR) buck does not look like your beautiful buck, to me.  Both deer probably have had or do have mule deer genes but that matters not one tiny bit to me, anyway.  Not to take anything away from your absolutly beautiful buck, but that Sandy buck has more blacktail in it by far than your dandy.  I would shoot either one in a hot second, period.  Standing side by side I always have and always will take mass over score or inches every day of my life.  I truly didn't think your buck would be topped on the west side this year and it hasn't.  The other is in Oregon and to bad the fella is a tresspasser but I think he killled it during season just not where he had permission to hunt, if I read the stories right.  Not a poacher to me, but still illegal.
