Issaquah GMU firearm restrictions
« on: November 19, 2009, 06:00:40 AM »
Saw that 454 was open for deer hunting and it's any buck. Where are you hunt in that GMU with rifle's. Heard it was bow only. If you know anything about the restrictions could you please help me out.
A bad day hunting is better then any day at work

west of 203 and west of 18 is firearms restricted.  no high powered rifles. you can use a shotgun, a bow or a muzzleloader in the rifle season.

Firearm restricted: "The area W of Hwy 203 (Monroe-Fall City), then Fall City-Preston Rd to I-90, I-90 to Hwy 18, Hwy 18 to I-5, I-5 to Pierce-King Co. line; Vashon and Maury islands."
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Be careful going shotgun or muzzy.  Many of the areas in that GMU while allowed to use restricted weapons under WDFW rules are actually 'No Shooting' zones established by local laws.  My folks live in the unit, and outside the city, but King county still does not allow the discharge of firearms where they live, thus if I were to hunt there it would be bow only.

:yeah:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
