-Like I said its very rare that the gates are open after Late Buck and its BS becouse its taking away a awesome hunt for the late guys up in the snow, but I would keep calling the hotline to see if anything changes. You can get weyerhauser maps at sunbirds I thought but Im not sure how detailed they are, Im up there a ton so I know the area pretty well but I still get lost once in awhile so a map might be handy, lol! Logging can really change the scenery and get you screwed up!!

1000 road is locked but it has been open during the week for access to the gravel pit.  Closes at irregular times.  Not open to the public.  Fennel Road gate was open throughout Elk season.    Don't know why but several road hunters used it,  They didn't know that they shouldn't.  Can you say dumb s**ts?    Are you talking late archery elk or deer?

I am after both deer and Elk, spending Thanksgiving weekend in Winston, but after that .....Depends....
I am spending Thanksgiving Day at the in-laws and they live up near Cabelas, and have a nice 4X4 eating their pear and apple trees. I just wish I knew when he was gonna show up......
