just got back from idaho
« on: November 23, 2009, 07:23:22 PM »
well I just jot back from 5 days in Idaho and it was tough, the bucks at least where I was at were not going very hard and it was warmer than normal. On the third day things heated up and the deer were on the move six does came though the cut I was sitting on and I thought any minute he would show but nothing happend for another hour and ahalf then an snow storm hit and it was hard to see 250 yards. after a while the wind picked up and I looked across the cut and a tree was really shaking in the wind I threw up the binos and all I saw was bone. He was a 5x5 in the 160's and was giving this poor tree the buisness. Every time I tried to get the cross hairs on him he would go behind a tree. Long story short he went straight away with the tree between us and I never got a shot. In all the excitment I faild to notice this guy doing donuts in the jack pines below me at 30 yards, he came and went 3 differant times and on the third, I got tired of him tempting so hes now in the freezer, hope you guys like him.
Its all about the bone baby!

Nice whitey
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Great looking buck, congrats!
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Awesome!

Tell us about the rifle.
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined,

but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to
maintain a status of independence from any who might
attempt to abuse them, which would include their

own government." -- George Washington
