There are only 4 gates off Parpala, Ellseworth slough has 2, one is right on road, the next is up a dirt road to powerlines, the next is close enough to road to see if anyone parked there, and then there is the Dell Creek gate........I am mostly interested in the one you drive up to powerlines, if it is closed is it also closed at gate up on top of ridge, or from Dell Creek? or can they drive down it to other side of gate?

If Dell Cr. road is open you can drive in quite a ways but I have never seen another gate open to where you can get back out anywere else.

Ellens Worth Rd was gated right at the road.  There are at least three other Hancock gates on Parpalla Rd that were locked.  But Dell Cr Rd was open.  Then there is the road that leads back into Elkhorn Creek that looked like it was open.

On the west side there is a road called Walberg Rd. which is off Chinook Valley Rd. that takes you out into this unit and is open.  There was an elk carcass at the entrance and a gut pile farther in, so there are animals around there as well.

The only gate off parpalla that is open is the dell cr. gate all the others are closed. Even Ellesworth slough area is now gated out on parpalla. I wish they would keep all the gates locked up year round and not open them late season.
