Yea, I did today, while on break from WSU, I went out late elk hunting, and ended up getting a good shot on a doe, took advantage of it,given my time constraint. Through and through double lung shot, and my first kill with a bow. Was a very successful thankgsgiving day!

I don't get to hunt the late buck season as I am at work until the 11th of Dec, but I should be able to get a couple does in the late-late season in town (drew an extra doe tag for Dec 9-31).  And I think I've got a better than average chance at an elk in the late Panhandle archery season in Idaho.  Time will tell, though.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

spent my first day hunting some private property near home and say nothing all day. about an hour before dark i sat 1/4 mile from my truck and got busted by a buck and had 2 does at 30 yards that had no clue i was there and it was too dark to see my peep sight and pins. :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

Got mine yesterday morning.  We were in the stand about 40 minutes.  4x3 whitetail, 21 yard double lung shot that probably caught part of the heart.  Went 15 yards and died within sight.  Pics and more detailed story in the Deer Hunting section.
