WA Thanksgiving day archery buck.....
« on: November 27, 2009, 06:45:28 AM »
Not much of a story, he came in following a doe and caught me as I moved, spooked, but then decided I wasn't enough of a threat to give up on the hot doe he was following, and turned right around and came back.  He was mistaken about my Guardian not being much of a threat.  Thought he was a 4x4 when I shot him, turns out to be a 3x4 with a 2" sticker at his base of his left horn in the back so I guess a 3x5 total.  The eye guards sealed it for me (or him) as I saw him come in.  He went into a hell of a hole after the shot, thankfully Silent Bob was just a radio call away.

I'll have to wait to get home before I can see the pics.  That Silent Bob is pretty handy to have around.

Yes he is.  I'm making him pay this year, much like he did to me a couple years ago.  He's having back surgery on the 7th, so I needed to get one more good drag outta him before that. ;)

Congrats on a great whitey buck there, GT.
