If she has small hands the Walther P22 is great. New they are about $350, and come in pink if that is what she likes. But otherwise the Rugers are great.
Ruger hunter is a keeper for me. Good lookin, comfortable, and accurite as hell
Would have to agree with Jethro. If she does not have extensive firearms training go with a revolver.( This goes for men as well as women) I have been a firearms Instructor for over 15 years and always suggest single shot rifle/ shotgun and/ or revolver for the first few years. I got my wife a .22 mag revolver. She likes it. When she demonstrates that she can safely handle a firearm will get her a semi-auto.Cannot over emphasize firearms safety! Look at S&W, Taurus, RugerShe will have funGood luck
Take her to a bigger gun shop or shooting range where SHE can decide what feels best to HER hand. Then get THAT one for her.
QuoteTake her to a bigger gun shop or shooting range where SHE can decide what feels best to HER hand. Then get THAT one for her. This is what I did today. Went to a gunshow & talked to many people, handled many guns, went to a good shop & my wife chose a Walther P-22 'cause it fits her hand. I understand what's already been said about beginner's with Semi-autos & I somewhat agree but I let her choose what she liked & she is happy & will shoot it more 'cause of that. I will always be with her for a while.
