If it's only Salmon you want then Springers should be the first around late March -late May.

But February is a great time to catch steelhead!!!!
February and March are my 2 favorite months to fish steelhead.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

Blackmouth in the San Juans -- Highlliner Charters out of Anacortes.  I see hium with a lot of fish in the winter, and other times.  I think you need to book early as the Anacortes Salmon Derby is around that time.

You can always fish for sturgeon. I see you live in Marysville, so try Ebey Slough, or at Langus park on the Snohomish. PM or e-mail me if you want some tips. Good luck
