Boat fixers
« on: January 09, 2008, 10:53:07 AM »
I know this isn't about fishing but closely related for sure, without the boat, I won't be fishing this spring.  Anyhow where do some of you guys get your boats serviced.  See I got this boat from Portland and really don't feel like going back there for servicing, altough they are a great outfit down there.  Just looking for a time tested respectable company that works on Hamilton Jets and Kodiak in-board motors in the Seattle area and surrounding communites. Got a small raditor leak and under warranty so I got to get it fixed before spring....   Mike

call 3 rivers marine in woodinville and see if they can do warranty work on it for you.

they have a good reputation in this area. speak to chris in service and tell him josh from jeep sent you. (hopefully he still works there)

Cool, talked to a service guy several minutes ago, they are set for Monday, thanks for the information, seems they are one, of the only that do warranty work in the area for Kodiak and Hamilton... Good to hear a report of good service.   Mike

Man, that is one very good shop.   They went through everything, turned out not a warranty issue, just a faulty cap.  Didn't run a tab on me at all, in fact it was a free visit, wow, a free visit to the boat doc, I couldn't believe it, still don't, due to knowing the working of other shops.   Today in the mail I get a thank you card from Curt, and I am the one that should be doing the thanking.  Great shop, very well recommended to anyone that has a service issue or for buying a boat, heck they have a group to choose from that for sure...  Thanks Jack for the original advise.

glad it worked out well. i wouldn't recommend something i wouldn't fully trust myself, and i thought they'd work out well for you. the tackle shop is the best around here too.
i wish they were open on sunday though.
