The Solution!

Well I have noticed that pretty much every time a person asks a question in the waterfowl thread they get flamed so I have found a solution. What if you ask a question and then the thread is immediately locked. All responses can be done by PM. This way those of us who have graduated high school don't have to relive the BS drama associated with people acting like little girls. I love waterfowl hunting, but I hate this Waterfowl thread. Everytime I read it all I see is people bashing each other, enough is enough. If you choose to be a dick to somebody at least have the respect to do it by PM. What good does it do to make people look or feel stupid? We are all adults lets start acting like it.
I invite people to flame this. You will just validate everything I have just said.
P.S. my solution is not realistic i know this. I'll throw that out there before somebody flames that. It was a sarcastic statement

oh and btw this is the stupidest most retarded idea ever
lol actually its not that bad of an idea just would be hard to make it work with only one mod for this section of the forum

i don't spend too much time worrying about which mod mod's which forum. if something is out of line, i do what needs to be done regardless of what forum i am in.
with that said....there aren't any mods that are going to nurse or babysit every single thread that gets started on here...so i guess i answered the question that you already answered for yourself.
now...with that said...every year there seems to be a new group of waterfowlers that comes on here with a holier than thou attitude and thinks they're better than everyone else. it creates, bar none, the most hunting drama year by year that this site sees. the only thing that tops it IMO is the off-season politics piss-fest. i've never seen such a bunch of arrogance in my life in the hunting world. the only thing i have ever seen worse is a bunch of "purist i am better than you and i do everything better than everyone" fly fishermen on a fly fishing forum i used to frequent.
p.s. i am a fly fisherman at heart so nothing against flyfishing...just some of the arrogance that some seem to drag in with them when they open their yaps.

I'm pretty good at stereotyping.....and I am usually pretty accurate. It appears to me that waterfowlers and stealheaders sure tend to be jerks. (putting it nice) LOL

WOW! I wandered over here from my normal haunts thinking I might find some reports on how things are going in the SW Washington area. Elk season is ending and I'll be starting to concentrate on ducks now.
Looks pretty tuff over in these parts.
Just so everyone knows: I hunt ducks but I'm not a Waterfowler, and I fly fish but I'm not a Flyfisherman.

Thats what I say to myself too. I've killed a lot of ducks but I'm not a duckhunter and I have caught a lot of steelhead but I am not a steelheader.

Don't know much about the drama going on here lately since I only pop in once in a while but, the one's that know will likely see through the bulls**t, eventually. My vote is to not put on forum restriction's (except for bad languange). Rasbo, your reply caused me to go get another papertowel (been running a cold the last couple of day's), that right there struck my funny bone! Cool. We only live once....lighten up and pass-on the humor and fun!!!!!!!

I think Cory's idea may not work, like most think, but the point of the matter is great and very wise! everyone just needs to lighten up. I joined this site so I can learn from other waterfowlers and pick up little tips and to find out how the hunting is. Not listen to fighting on a thread..... please everyone stop so this site is enjoyable again.....

Cory:
Good message but your delivery needs a little work:
I totally agreed with your post up until the point that I read the high school and little girl remark. IMO I feel that your post lost a little credibility by such an antagonistic approach.
Other than that you are spot on.
Feel free to PM me if you dont agree......
