there was a muzz bull from somewhere that was on here and 2 blues bulls that were definitely close. all 3 have been on here before.

sup 408 bull from observ. muzzy , I saw this bull and had him at 100 yards , he didnt look alot bigger than my 335 bull when they where brawling , I don't know if he's scored him yet but I'm sure it's a gross score he had some deductions and real good mass . I think you can see him under muzzy bull.

I tried several days to photograph that bull live.  What a pain.  I had him close with two archery hunters, one on each side hoping he'd go their way, but nope.

I know of two legit 400" bulls killed but I can't say where. I'll just say it wasn't the blues. there were a couple that were real close but I haven't heard of any 400's from the blues.

I had it scored B&C Dec. 2nd and the final score was non-typical 393 5/8 net. Gross was 406 and change. 13 or 14 inches in deduction. The standing WA Blackpowder record is 393 1/8. SO.. my 1/2" beats the standing record as I am told. This is my "bull of a lifetime" anyway I look at it. Still really hasn't sunk in.

That's because there are no more 400" bulls left in the Blues.  They all left.  Everyone should start putting in for tags in other units... :chuckle:

Always enjoy reading about the "400" elk sitings and kills reported in Washington. Just a reminder...there are only four 400 inch bulls from Washington that have ever been entered in the B&C Record Book...1 typical (1999) and 3 non-typical (2008, 2003 and 1959).

Hey Nailbender,
The Muzzleloader that you made looks like a toothpick laying on those heavy G-2s!! I guess I was pretty close when I rough measured him in front of my shop. Didn't I come up with 406 and change (gross) also? Man what an incredible bull!

"nailbender says what the F**k you mean don't shoot!!!"  I say shoot the one below us.... He is bigger...  Little did we know he was this big... Great hunt and will remember it for years...

That Chris Morgenroth kill a 400" rosey on the bogachiel river in the early 1900's. They keep it at a lodge in Forks but I believe it fell off the wall in the 70's and was damaged a bit so they cannot enter it in the books.

I know where one is. I seem him every year in the same place. He loves to sit and pose for me, although I have never taken his picture. We just sit and watch each other for a while until one of us gets board. He's in a spike only area so he knows he's safe. Every once and a while I would raise my rifle just to see him in my scope and he would look at me like...ya go ahead, I dare ya. One of these years maybe I'll draw a tag and that will be the end of him.   :guns:
