Added one more to the collection
« on: January 13, 2008, 06:05:17 PM »
Picked up another 6.5x55 swede to add to the collection yesterday.  This one is a mauser 98 action with a 24" barrel.  I'm going to swap out the scope before too long as it has a tasco pronghorn scope on it now.  Should be a good little deerslayer.

High Country, I measured it tonight and it looks to be a 1 in 9 twist.  However I wouldn't trust my cleaning rod measuring method to be 100% accurate.  Hopefully we'll see how it shoots this weekend.

I've got a small ring Mauser M98 in 6.5 X 55 Swedish, sporterized by Kimber, that shoots like a dream.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
