Coyotes around Ellensburg area?
« on: January 15, 2008, 01:07:03 AM »
Howdy all-

Newbie in the Eburg area looking for some info/decent spots around Eburg to try my hand at coyote hunting. A buddy of mine and I usually hit up the Durr road area for target shooting/upland stuff and were wondering if there are any decent coyote areas around worth checking out. We've been up in the LT Murray area, but haven't really been looking for coyotes. Any thoughts?

:)Loads of people in the Wenas, Durr Rd, Sheep company road areas. I have pretty much given up there. There are yotes there, night hunting might be better. This year I got one in the pheasent plant area south of Tumwater canyon, and 1 just on the south side of the canyon by the antennas. Try the Yakima training area, and north of Vantage in Clockam and Quillamene. (spelling?) over towards Bluette pass has some great areas.
Good luck!

Its too cold there right now, I'd head to the Tav for a Hungry Mother with both, fries, and pitcher or three of Blue Moon!  ;)

Too Cold!? Right now is the best time to kill anything. Me and my buddies were out this weekend too and rewarded with two raccoons and two Bobs, try finding that at the Tav!

A coyote at the tavern usually results in constant ribbing from your buddies for the rest of your life.

True that.  But if you come across some cougars, now there's something to share with your buddies!
