AR FiveSeven

Have any of you guys built and played with one of these yet? I have a PS90 and FiveSeven pistol and am considering the AR platform.

What advantage do you see in the 5.7x28 over the 5.56 NATO?

Are you looking for something that will not be as loud?  Perhaps just a cool toy in a different chambering?

I think the 5.7 pistol is an ugly yet cool plinker.

Kinda cool.  I have shot the FN PS90 and it's a fun plinker.  Makes a fine CQ defense weapon, also.  I guess if I had the money to burn I would buy the upper use with one of my existing lowers.

You almost have to shoot an 5.7 AR to appreciate it, zero recoil, zero muzzle flip. Super fast double taps, 50 rounds to boot  ;)

I believe it, the pistol is the same way and the main reason I am interested in it.

That is a pretty cool AR.  I really like the 50 round top feeding magizine.
Will hunt for food.

There's a reason they call it hunting, not killing.

That does look interesting. The pistol does too. I think that'd be a fun cartridge.

The pistol is a lot of fun Gutpile, long range, penetration, very low recoil.

I looked at the web site and cannot tell who is producing these. Is it FNH? If so ?I love their stuff. I have the FNP 45 and love it. Great quality product by a great American company. I know the FNP 5.7 is made in Belgiam but the rest of FNH is made here.

Looks cool

The FNP 5.7 I think looks plasticy. I have fired them along with the P90 and they shoot really nice. The 50 round top loaded clip is really cool.

You can rent them at Wades in Bellevue for like $25 bucks

My only complaint with the 5.7 is that it's not very reloader friendly. I like the guns but hate the thought of having to buy ammo.
