When do Mule deer drop their antlers?
« on: January 21, 2008, 08:23:48 AM »
We fished Banks Lake this last weekend and saw close to 70 deer. I was surprised that we didn't see a single antler on any of them. Have the already dropped most of their antlers,or did we really see just does?

They are starting to drop but very very unlikely that all have dropped. My guess is that you just didn't see any bucks.

they start dropping at the end of December, and peak about the first of February.  Some hold them clear to the end of March.  Most in the Banks area are still packing through to the middle of February.
