« on: January 09, 2010, 07:31:14 PM »
I've seen and heard of whitetail's in the Entiat, but in the Swakane........... :dunno:  Guess it's only a drainage.  Sorry for the small double photo, but she's in the upper right.

Yep sure is a whitetail, mingling with all those muleys. Wonder if she got bred by a muley buck?

I hunted in the early season up in the entiat this last year and saw a white tail do also. It was the first one I have seen up there after hunting in that unit for a few years now. Cool pictures.

I can say that I am not that happy to see whitetails in that area. Thanks for pics Mtn.

They should open all 200 series units to any whitetail any tag. they'll drive the mule deer outta dodge.

I saw a small 4x4 buck in the Swakane unit in January 2002.  Off Hwy 97-A, between Swakane and Entiat.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Well, on it's face that would make sense.  But you forgot to figure in the one question that must always be asked before implementing any game managment program in Washington State....

"....How's that going to make the state more money...?"

And that, ladies and gentlemen is why it will never be implemented...
