Antler dogs or bird dogs? GWP's and other versatile dogs are very versatile. Both of my GWPs (2yrs and 1 yr olds) are both Dock Dogs (jumping 20-21 feet), are trained for and find a lot of shed antlers, they both do upland and waterfowl hunting (they are both getting ready for their NAVHDA UT titles) and are of course obedience trained to voice and whistle. Use your imagination. If you can get them to understand what it is you want them to do, when you want them to do it, and YOU can be consistent.... you may be able to have a truly versatile companion! But start them early (8 weeks or sooner)... If you have any questions, please let me know, I'd be happy to help and/or give some advice.
