Congrats!  I would be happy catching a skunk.  I sometimes smell them but I have never seen one.

Nice Rasbo  - that ought to get some more action headed for that trap.  Well at least it's a cat ( in name anyway) :bash: :bash: :bash:  Got one at my bait site having a stare down with a bobby.....
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

Rasbo, I'll be more than happy to take a spotted skunk off your hands.  Not a lot of fun to skin but the skunks make beautiful pelts.  I have two striped pelts.

I tanned a couple out a few years back.  It was quite a process.

The civet cat is also known as a mountain skunk. If you have never dealt with one, I can tell you it is far worse than the smell of a normal skunk. It is also said that skunks are members of the cat family.
If you have no sense of smell, you would do well to trap them.
In spite of their smaller size, their hides have historically been worth more than their cousins but the smell will be hard to get around for that small amount of money. The fur is rather nice though.
