don't know that he was apposed to hunting, wouldn't surprise me though. they were/are apposed to use being able to use our public lands. that's the level of "preservation" they wanted. pay taxes on it but don't use it, gotta save it for the polar bears don't ya know

I know he sponsored legislation on keeping existing roadless areas roadless, I wrote a paper on it at one time. The majority of the roadless (huntable) areas were re-opened for development by W, for mining, timber harvest and oil research. One of the large roadless area's in Wyoming is now a gas field with no hunting opportunities.

No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.

Seems Wyoming's sportsmen and women are in favor of protecting these areas, that are still open to hunting and fishing.

:chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: You clearly haven't seen my opinion of Gregoire...

I would actually put Clinton right up there with Teddy based on what I stated, over the course of writing that paper it was pretty clear, at least to me that there are millions of acres still huntable today that might not have been if Clinton hadn't taken action. If you've seen some of the development activity, before and after shots in Wyoming you'd see what I mean, some areas look like moonscape where there were herds of mule deer and antelope.

and bowing is just what ole "teddy" wanted American people to do. i realize a knee jerk reaction is Roosevelt but do some research folks,  he was not a friend of this country.
