Nope I have shot a lot of mini's and only found one that put together decent groups.  If you are looking to spend $600 on a mini you can pick up an Oly Arms standered for about $650.  It will be much more accurate and you can upgrade parts from there.

I have one and it seems to shoot good enough at that distance. If you don't do rapid fire through it to often it should have some accuracy.  I used mine for yotes for a long time, until I picked up an AR.  I would save up and pick up an AR with a bull barrel.  A few more bucks, but if you hang onto it for a while it doesn't amount to much and you have all the various calibers available.

Does it matter how accurate it is, it has a 50 round clip.  :chuckle: :chuckle: I just lead the lead fly with mine. Fun gun for sure. 200 yards it will group just fine for yotes.

It's so so. I have an older mini 14 ranch rifle. I've heard the newer ones have better barrels then the older ones did. They are fun to shoot though  :)

I'm actually going to the range tomorrow with the mini. If I remember I'll take a picture of my grouping.

By the way 600 is a good deal though.

They are on sale at Cabelas. I think it was 700 maybe 650.

Saw one at Big5 the other day for 800.

Wally World sells them in the $600 range as well.  They have the bulk packs of ammo as well.

The mini is a typical Ruger, rugged, reliable and somewhat questionable accuracy. An American AK.
Never, ever let Creed hold you baby, it will ruin it and you will have to get another.

i bought one a year and a half ago. it was the ranch synthetic stock and shot very decent. at 200 yards i held about 3 inch groups. the older ones are definitely not nearly as accurate.

mine was just like the others....a 3" gun at best. only praise it gets from me is that it fired every single round I ever fed it.

mini's are like 10/22's...there's a ton of upgrades and stuff you can do to them for fun, but if you want a rifle that shoots bug holes, i'd steer away from them too. they're a ton of fun and will never fail you.
the forums at www.perfectunion.com has a  lot of info on trick stuff you can do to them.
