OAK CREEK UPDATE
« on: January 25, 2008, 03:05:14 PM »
I finally made it out there to snap acouple shots for you guys that can't make it over to see it for yourself.  Lots of animals there.  I didn't make it in to the shop to get this years statistics like I do every year, I just didn't have the gumption with all of the folks.  At least this time I didn't have to fight a bunch of renegades.  First time this year I really got to take a gander at what was there....

Saw two bulls that have shed antlers, one each.  Both raghorns....one injured and not healthy which usally results in an early shedder

I am having trouble with uplooading again and working with a new program, so bare with me.

Here's one of the biggest that I could find.  Only one that was a super nice bull, no super monsters.

There are some nice ones in the bunch for sure.  Thanks for posting those up, I love seeing them and don't make it over there nearly enough.

The bull with the kicker has sweet fronts, but the big 6 sure has some amazing backs.

Sure  is a lot of good looking bone there. I wonder how many of those sheds will be stock piled back up in the sage hills for when they open it up in May. I saw a few guys with packs full of bone coming back to the parking lot at about 4am last year. Hope they catch more of them this year.

Bones,
Do they still feed up above Wenas Lake and Hwy 12? If so which station were those pictures taken at? I used to live about a mile below the lake back in the 80's.
