I've been trying hard to find some elk in the late archery depredation season that is going on near Dayton. I've been out there several times now with very limited results. I finally found one elk on a place that I could get permission for but didn't have it, so I go back the next day with permission only to walk my butt off and find nothing. I talked to some guys working in the area, and they said that the elk were there, but last weekend there was a group of guys chasing the elk around with 4-wheelers (that weren't supposed to be there), and the elk weren't in that area any more. Talk about disappointing!!!!
