Call it the economy.  I am supposed to be doing chores, but obviously I get sidetracked easily.  I decided to try some promotional shots for Victor.  :)

So I am sitting on my belly filming this and the pheasant decides it wants to see.  I pick a little pebble up and toss it at her.  I hit her right onthe side of the head and she flips up feet in the air, and lays there twitching.  this is one of my favorite birds, costs about $300 and takes two years to breed.   CRAP!   I just sat there in awe for about 5 minutes.  All of a sudden she came too.  I hope she is ok.

Thats crazy.  One in a million shot.  Hope the bird is OK.
I once saw a grouse do that and it never got touched.  It was crossing the road when we came up on it.  It freaked out and try to turn 180 and fell over.  Rolled over on its back and started twitching then laid still.  We couldnt believe it.  I got out of the car to see if it was dead and it just jump up and ran. CRAZY birds.

Talk about gruesome......one year I had a mouse problem in my classroom at school. The female custodian was against snap traps so she bought a sticky trap and put it in my classroom afterschool along the wall behind my file cabinet.

I came back in the next morning and the sticky trap was in the middle of the floor with a live mouse on it. She had pulled herself out into the middle of the floor and promptly aborted 7 little mouse fetuses onto the sticky trap as well.

I almost threw up is was disgusting.
The custodian didn't talk to me for a couple of months because I gave her an earful.

That left a mark. A mental one on my brain.

My buddies kid caught a grouse by chasing it and it ran into a rock.  It then layed on its back and started flopping arounds.  Break the neck and eat.  Yumm.

I love those bait bars! I don't have mice in my house but they are in the barn and I can keep the numbers down with the bait bar. Works fantastic for me.
