UHH...I'll pass on the frogger outfit.

I can't return it............it was on sale for a ribet good price.  Now you can say you're going green.

Is there a zipper? or a flap?   Can we give it to charity?  Maybe someone really could use it?   :dunno:

Make fun all you want, but you know at least one of us is going to try it just to see, if nothing else is working.    :chuckle:

I took my wife to the doctor today and was talking with a LPN that is a avid archer.  I ask him if he was getting ready for turkey season and he brightened up.  I ask what kind of call he used, he replied you aren't going to believe this, but my best call is a frog croak. He said they are crazy for frogs. He got a toy out of a store that as he described it, was a can like devise that you flipped over and it made a frog croak. He said one of his kids will start using it and the turkeys are so focused on it he is off to the side and can draw his bow with out being seen.

This is the second person who has told me about frog croaks attracting turkeys.  Both also said the tree frog croak.

You need to find an amphibian free zone over there and clear your head..LOL..or you will have me even convinced to actually do a croak.  A funny story..went out with a guide and we were locating toms..he says "Lets listen here"...he breaks out his coyote call..Hoooowll..Gobble Gobble Gobble..Right on..He says..They love this thing.  I go watch this..Hoo Hoo Hoo..Gobble Gobble Gobble , I go watch this ..MOO MOO MOO..Gobble Gobble Gobble..I also did the famous door slam or dog bark..gobble gobble..He just looked at me shaking his head.  It was funny.  But to sit by a tree and croak in hopes to lure in a hungry turkey?..not sure the sad part is I will try anything..LOL..well not anything..but most within reason..LOL

I put this out, after being told about it, and thought it seemed ridicule's. I thought all the comments were funny, but it got me to thinking that possibly some truth to it. After the second person, I am thinking of keeping my eye open for some thing that will make a real frog sound, to try when I get a flock of birds, or a henned up gobbler  will not come in. I am not going to put much emphasis on it, but will be observant to see if it could be one more little tool.  I still like my homemade calls.

I am going to try it on my small resident flock that passes through my meadow from time to time just to see there reaction, i have lots of hoppers in the summer but i also have a small pond (1ac) that gets overgrown and is full of frogs, the turkeys do stay on that side of the property so it will be fun to see what happens.

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.
