Canon 40d used
« on: February 10, 2010, 08:41:43 AM »
I'm looking at a used canon 40d in "like new" condition. The person just bought the mark 5d and just wants to sell it. It has 7632 actuations on the shutter. They are asking $650. Is this a good deal??? This is only the body, strap, manual, and battery, no lens.

thanks

You can find the body as low as $550 lately, Pope just sold his last week for this price. I would offer them $600 but with only 7K actuations its not a bad buy at $650. I would check it out and take some pics with one of your CF cards and lenses, shoot it in RAW and take your card home to view the images, you can also verify the number of actuations too.

If it seems to good to be true, it probably isn't. I called and they list the price of the camera and all you get is the camera. The charger and all the normal accessories or add on costs. Stay away!
