Just got back from picking up some pheasant wings from Dave and she loves them. I would throw them about 10 feet and she go get it and bring it right back and put it in my hand.

I got him down in the Vancouver area from a breeder that said they are called coldwatergsps or something like that.

Jared, she is a beauty. Glad she liked the wings. We will have some more soon. Your welcome to come along if you would like. I'd like to do an all day hunt. 5 roosters in the am Lunch, then 5 more in the PM!

Did she point at the wings?

Ya that's a good question. I've only owned labs. Do the point naturally or is there a process to go through?

She hasn't pointed at them yet but I haven't had a lot of time to spend outside with her yet.

Penhuntsbirds- I'd love to come along. Let me know when your going and I'll see if I can make it work.

Good looking pup.  Read lots, have fun, and be patient.  Gotta love puppy breath.  Keep us posted on the progress and lots of pictures.

I have a Shorthair and probably always will.  They're great dogs.

are you not worried about the wings developing the bad habit of sight pointing?

Not sure what you mean? This is my first bird dog and I'm just trying to get her used to the bird scent. If you have any recommendations please let me know.
