Where did my add go?
« on: February 21, 2010, 09:15:31 PM »
Put an add in the misc. classifieds listing today and now its gone.  Do I need to repost it or is it floating around somewhere?

Ray has been doing web-site maintenance, so it could have something to do with it.

Yeah I was thinking that.  Just wondering if I should wait to repost or if it might reappear :chuckle:

I never saw it posted in there today. I've looked at the classifieds 5-6 times throughout the day today and the same 2 ads have been there all day. Did you actually see it post up?
I'm not sure anything that Ray is doing will affect whats in the classifieds. The stuff from the upgrade seems to be limited to photo's and attachments on here as of now...thus explaining  a lot of the little red X's where pics used to be.
I would re-post it.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Ads get purged if they expire - AUTOMATICALLY. Thank god for that.

If you are not receiving email because your ads are about to expire it's probably because your mail host is rejecting it. That doesn't mean junk mail filtering. It means totally rejected. Think AOL, Comcast sometimes and some others.

No ads were purged manually and none would have been affected by the server change. I suspect your ad expired because you did not relist it when it came time to expire. Whatever the ad was.

BTW - "ad" as in advertisement.
