I'm no professional, but that is one of the best that I've seen.  I will say that the saturation was turned up on the photo.  Additionally, the shooter was able to get away with a lot of sharpening on this photo because the background is completely blurred as is most of the foreground.  If you notice the tiny grass shoots sticking up in the same focal plane as the ram you will see that they are oversharpened.  You don't notice it because there are only a couple.  It makes the face of the ram look tack sharp, but I don't think they needed to do it.  If I or Elkman had the original or raw file we could make that picture natural but still amazing. 

But, aside from the photoshop "issues" I believe this is one of the best dall shots I've seen.  I'm nitpicking this shot but make no mistake, it's one of the best I've seen.  I just see some post processing errors that detract from an amazing shot.

I saw a hunt of those I think on one of the hunting channels one day.  Looked like a tough hunt in that basalt, lava flow crap.

Very clear and crisp photos 509er.
