That's an especially fine bird, especially considering the fact that they're just about the last bird to get colored up in the fall/winter.  I've seen them in early January and their heads were still partially molted.

Tom, your right on about the head.  That is why I took a close-up of the head.  It was a fun one to mount because I didn't have to deal with the feather loss in the head.  It's not often you get a Spoony with the head that plumed out.  That bird was shot at the end of January.  Nice to hear from you Tom.  John
