Bait Apples: Can I freeze them?
« on: March 14, 2010, 07:47:25 AM »
My buddy gave me a bunch of apples that I was going to use to bait my first trailcam set up. Anyway, some unexpected delays mean I wont be out in the woods for a few more weeks and I hate to waste those apples. If I freeze them and thaw them out before I drop them off will the deer still be attracted?

Nothing to lose, try it and let us know.  My guess is that they will eat them right away - they're not picky unless they are rotten.

pretty sure they'll be mushy when thawed...don't think the deer will mind.
