Sweet mount!!!  Just curious on whats up with the rough hair on the forehead?  Just some weird hair swirls or...???   :dunno:  Looks awesome and more life-like than most all moose mounts I've seen!!!

Yep, they have very curly hair up there.  Kinda funny looking unless you know the critter.  You want to talk about thick HIDE.  Gotta love it up on top between the bones.

Yeah, I tanned my own.   It was a REAL biotch to try to pull that wet cape out of the bath without getting any on you. :chuckle:    THen smothering it with hide paste and trying to slap that cap on. LOL    THEN.....the mount came out of my work bench because of the weight and here I sat holding a form with antlers on it with a wet cape without getting hide paste on it.   Wheres the utube video of that.   I reached over with one hand and spun a 55 gallon barrell full of traps over to prop his nose in until I could get the thing re- anchored.   Holy Moly!  Shaving that thing was unreal

Looks real good, I like the pedestal mount. As far as the rough hair, mine has the same.
