Was thinking about heading down for a day to check it out, was wondering if anybody has been fishing it with any success?  Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Not real sure how they are doing, but if the show of boats on the water is an indication.... It must be hot.  The water between I-5 and I-205 is a sea of boats lately.

It will be closed early due to the current catch rates. :twocents: The quota is almost gone!!! :P

This might be the last weekend untill the run size gets updated in May.

Been keeping up on it on another board..............since this past Weds the 7th, someone described it as......are you ready.....

   "El rio esta en fuego"

which means "the river is on fire"

Red hot the last 3 days....approximately 900+ boats from Sauvie Island to I5 bridge....worse than buoy 10 some have said.....but springers are thick.  Best springer fishing ever seen another has said.

Hope that helps..........sorry if you won't be able to sleep tonight. :chuckle:

Kalama was not very good today, I fished for Sturgeon but talked to guys Springer fishing, they were not too excited about their end tally of zero.....  The "Spanish Armada" was below the I-5 Bridge, holly crap, couldn't pay me anything to get out with the masses there.  aka Bumper Boats..

Don't know about you lower river guys, but above Bonneville, it is just about to heat up.  Dam count is jumping every day.  The stampede is on.  Just bring the motorcycle helmets, Kevlar fishing vests for the combat fishing up here.   :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Fished near St. Helens yesterday and it was decent at best. Put 2 in the box and lost one other. Action was sporadic and spotty. We saw maybe 15 other fish hooked. Wind and crowds were heavy. Heard down near Kalama was slow. It could have been the north wind keeping the fish off the bite.

Well we made the trek down this morning and gave it a go, but was unsuccessfull!   Fished from the I-5 bridge down and saw a dozen or so fish boated!   Hate to see what it is like on the weekends, seemed pretty busy today!  Good luck to those who can make it out!
