calls
« on: April 18, 2010, 01:03:31 PM »
after taking a few trips to various sporting good stores i am a little overwhelmed on the sheer (spelling???) number of calls for coyotes.  i am on kind of a tight budget (damn joint checking accounts LOL!!!) so i dont want to purchase one and it ends up being junk.  the wifey agreed to let me buy 2 calls i am thinking some sort of distress and a howler/bark (not to sure if this is the right lingo).  i know that this is probably one of the hardest critters to hunt but i am not easily discouraged so putting in the time w/o seeing one will not be a issue either.  any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!!!

here i go sounding like a noob but oh well.  i assume that it comes with reeds for howling/distress that will make those pesky dogs go bonkers.  do the reeds "wear our"  i cant imagine the would if they are a plastic or composite material, but thought i would ask.

well i would love to buy one of the old sets from you.  let me know what i need to do to make this transaction happen.

I have ordered an open reed distress (elk horn) from Rick and was very satisfied. In fact, I recently ordered a special order closed reed elk horn call too, since I was so pleased with it.

Good luck with whatever you may choose. As far as factory made calls go, I have had real good luck with the "Sceery" brand distress calls.
