I am talking about 1/8" on the out side of the ear.  How big is the hole?

I got ya....I wondered if thats what you meant.......
basically the ear.  I was slipping my finger or thub down it seperating it.  Lots of finesse you know, and its MUCH easier than a deer.  Anyway boom out goes the thumb.  Its about the ear. It will actually probably make it easier that its a good portion.  I can ge tit lined up better and less cahnce of mess.

:)  Don't feel bad.  It happens.  Happens to me every once in a while.  Their are many ways to fix blown out ears.  Dryer sheets work good repairing skin on the back side of the ear. ;)

I have a mini flesher, but one thing I found when working with my moose is I didn't have the compressor to drive it.  Then I found with hese thin skinned guy, just my fingers work fine.  I have an ear to fix and a couple holes to sew.   Never skin an animal when partially frozen.   ;)

I have shot a couple elk in Montana when the temp was -30 and couldn't get them out the samevening so had to leave them over night. It really bites skinning  1/4 in by 1/4 inch in the cold.

Well....Zap a Gap was solid, so used superglue.  Had some issues with the form being heavier than the fox was even though it matched the measurements.  I got to do a bunch of carving, and then trying to make it proportional with the same muscle structure.  Got i carved then danded and had a very...very .....tight fit around the shoulders.

now I am just waiting for the eyes to dry a bit then put the finishing touches on them.  Had fun tucking the lips, not nearly as easy as deer.

I have always split them down the belly, but followed Michelles advise on going down the back.  Makes for gettin on the form easier I think.  I don't like the fact the seem is more obvious, but I think I got it ok.
