Alberta wolf outfitter?
« on: May 03, 2010, 05:52:16 PM »
Anyone know of a good guide for wolf hunting in Alberta? Looking at going there this winter and would like to start picking through who is good or not. Searched for Alberta wolf hunts on google and there is so many I don't know where to start.

Have you seen or gotten their (Albertas) publication on guides or outfitters?  Its almost a nice book practically, and each outfitter has their own Page or pages per species.

How do you pick through them and decide who to go with? I'm kind of looking for some names of outfitters that some members have gone with. So that they can say, absolutely I recommend them, I had a great time and killed x or xx amount of wolves.

I would concentrate on some of the ones near Banff.  They used to outfit elk, but since most of the elk are gone, many have switched to wolves and I know from heresay there are a TON of them around there.

Idaho has some very high wolf concentrations in the right units, why not go there and do your civic duty for our neighbors?

I don't know them, but if you listen closely to the guy, you can tell he knows what he is doing, this success is nothing new, he has had lots of success and is just documenting the season. :twocents:

I would love to go with them myself, especially since it would be a trapping adventure.

From reliable sources I also know that there are people in Idaho pushing for wolf trapping... :twocents:

It says there in northeastern B.C. I sent him a message on youtube but it doesn't look like he gets on there often so who knows how long till he gets back to me.
