waterfowl lanyards
« on: March 14, 2010, 03:18:08 PM »
I just bought a heavy hauler 4 loop braided lanyard, and i only has 4 loops but those loops are four double looping on your call, or one on top one on bottom, i was wondering if you guys put double loops on or just one, i have all calls under $75.00 so give me your ideas. Anyone else have a heavy hauler 4 loop lanyard, if so, how to the side braided loops and whistle drop work, do they come unbraided easy, or should i get another lanyard?

I make my own and run a double loop on each call.  Or a single main line loop with a jumper on it to catch the insert if it comes out.  I have lost enough inserts over the years that it worth it, especially when all the calls all over the $100 mark.
Cut em!

I double loop my calls after loosing an insert last year. When you get to buying expensive calls it is definately better.

I just found these lanyards on Craigslist and they look pretty sweet. For $30 it seems you cant go wrong, I think I'm gonna order one of these and see how they are. Heres a link to the ad: http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/spo/1766066197.html

Yeah they do - I ordered one today in the cobra style with 7 drops, 3 doubles ea side and one center double in emerald green & black like the one in the ad. He said it should be ready in a couple days. I let you know how it is when I get it. If you do order one let him know where you got his info - maybe he'll cut me a deal!

If you guys want some great lanyards let me know.
I pro staff for Death Grip Lanyard which are made here in Olympia.
Dave can make with any number of drops you want,
He does several types of braids to choose from and has a TON of colors.
Nice thing is he can custom make to YOUR specs/lengths  which is nice if you are over 6'3" like myself.

Send me a pm or call me if you want more info.

Here is an example of his work with a couple calls I just recieved from Buck last week.

Lord forgive me for I shoot hens
