If there are not any moose in W Washington, then can I shoot one if I happen to see one?  I think I have better odds of seeing and shooting a moose in W. WA than drawing a moose permit in this state.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

There was an adult cow running around Silver Lake area in Cowlitz Co. in spring 2001.  She disappeared pretty quickly.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

There was one in Bellingham in the late 80's.  As I recall it was there for some time near Fairhaven.

Seems to me it was hit and killed by a car.

As Bone and Hunterbuilder mentioned, we had one in Lynden down on the river bottom quite a few years back.  As Bone mentioned, he probably came out of the Frasier Valley

A guy I work with said there was a big bull living in a field by milltown just south of conway when he was a kid. He said the game department tried to dart it and ended up killing it.

I was exploring a new Park the other day and a little squirrel with a hat and goggles asked me the same thing.

A squirrel wearing goggles? I'm not sure I believe that. What color were the goggles and are you sure they weren't glasses?   :chuckle:
