Sold Out (Sorry)
« on: May 30, 2010, 10:37:32 AM »

Been bow hunting here last four years. Bought a mordern Elk tag this year. Friend of mine who I've hunting with the last three years known for five. A friend of his asked him to go hunting on private land an he can bring a friend so he asked me. I guess the guys where looking for someone with a camper. So he asked me. Got a 27ft. Figure what the heck give it a shot.

Good luck!  Don't blame you at all.  Nice to not have the pressure to deal with.

The biggest problem I have,  is that I haven't shot my rifle in about 3 years. Guess I need to go burn some holes in paper

One thing about it, X-Bow Hunters are deadly hunters w/a riffle.  ;)

I generally think of it as being well rounded.  I think it gives you a perspective in both worlds that many don't have.  There are definately obstacles and advantages to both.

I think PA Ben is right.  Being a bowhunter for a while makes rifle hunting seem so easy.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

I assumed you were talking about the private land part. I wouldn't call rifle hunting a sell out by any means.  It is all hunting.  I love rifle hunting.  That is why I love the multi season tags.  For me there is nothing better than a cold fall morning sitting over a clearing as the sun comes up and my rifle by my side!
