Baikal Teal Mount Finished

Here is the Baikal Teal I was telling you guy's/Gal's about.  I just got back from the Idaho Taxidermy Competition and competed with this bird and 3 others.  What an honor to be able to work on a rare species of Teal.  This was a wild shot bird from Central California that received about the full compliment of shot from a 12 guage.  Man was this bird shot up bad!   Anyway hope you enjoy the pic's.  John

well I can't tell, you did a great job fixing the shot damage. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I drop a woody with BB loaded.

Great mount John! I hadn't seen that subspecies of teal before. Beautiful bird. Congrats on the BLUE ribbon. I'm sure it's not your first or last.

Thanks everyone.  Bullblaster those are the real feet.  I use artificial heads on all my waterfowl mounts.  Dustin07, we are going to have to talk about using BB load on waterfowl, especially the birds your going to get mounted.   Thanks again everyone and talk with you soon.  John
