aluminum arrows

does anyone think it is weird that i like to shoot aluminum arrows? they are so outdated but i can shoot the crap off of a fly with the easton xx75's. any input? last elk season my whole camp gave me a hard time for shooting a brand new bow madness with aluminum shafts.

the main goal is to put that arrow right where you want it, nothing else matters more.

not weird at all, I shot them up till just last year! I still shoot a 30 year old compound due to my 3 finger roll but I do like the carbon arrows now, but its all about hitting where you want.

I am not a bowhunter but my brother is so I look at this page from time to time.  He started shooting XX75's when they first came out but now shhots carbon like most do.  He read this thread and laughed.  His comment was if your shooting good and able to put an elk down who gives a darn what you're shooting.

there is another one going on here i think it is just called aluminum that is the same thing, and no its o.k. they are good arrows my best friend still hunts with them and they have killed plenty of animals and ask old chuck adams how well they work

xx75 Easton 2213's and i like em'. I have never shot any carbons but my buddys do and the only difference i see is that the carbons are harder to pull out of targets.

yep, they're harder to pull out of targets, but at least they're straight if you get 'em out.

p.s. don't worry about aluminum arrows being discontinued, they're made from recycled beer cans.  Most of us support production.

biggest difference i saw was when you hit something hard, you might bend an aluminum.( and not know it) with carbons, they are either broke or not.. i still shoot aluminums out of the older bows-doesnt hurt i got a bunch when they were on clearance..

plus you can get aluminums cheeeeeaaaap on ebay.
