firedog, I agree with you 100% about the in the field experience, it's priceless! Couple that with homework such as understanding sounds & situation of use will just flat make you a better elk hunter! Take it a step further & now watch all elk hunting shows you can & listen to the elk & see if you can take all that learning & understand what you're hearing. It's amazing how well you'll get at interpreting them! This is a great exercise that will ready you that much more for you elk hunt! Just don't yell at the hunters on TV as they go against what the elk are saying or asking! (grin)
Accurate info is also very important not just someones theories, this can only be achieved through study not just because a guy has seen this or that a few times.---I believe the Estrus Buzz is misrepresented at times as why elk use it & when. This can cause more problems than help!
