i have hunted with the dead centers for years last year when the switch happened i tested a lot of bullets and the sst they shot well but from what i had heard and were seeing they were not opening up very well. when compared to the other bullets i ended up using the tmz 290 barnes and they shot about as good as my dead centers do and open up nice. but i still love the dead centers and might switch back next year to the dead centers i have shot 3 weights but my guns like the 340g the best.

If you look threw my history on posts you should find one that has several pictures i've taken maybe even some video of my tests with those bullets. I'm at work right now so I don't have time to look them up for you. Like stated before.  The sst bullets shot great but I was dissapointed with the performance. The dead centers did well with the testing I did. The barnes bullets did very good. Look up the pictures
It's not the size of the trophy that make's it a trophy.

You may just be one person in this world. But you may be the world to just one person.

I couldn't get the Dead Center's to shoot any smaller than a 6 inch group at 50 yards out of my Knight, powder combos from 90 to 120 grains. SST's shot under 1.5" groups at 50 with 110 gr. I've heard a lot about SST's not opening up, but I'm not sure how much of that is based on fact or hearsay (other than those video's, of course). I shot a buck with them, but in the head at 27 yards, so I can't comment on how the bullet expanded being as I didn't find it. I'm going to stick with the SST's while I still have so many of them, and then maybe look at the Barnes.

-My bud killed a 7x5 Bull last year with the SST's and the Bullet completly mushroomed. I just shot a three shot group with the first to shots touching and the third about 1" to the right, 100grn of 777. Im liking this combination, cant wait to shot'er more!

I've tired looking for it, but cant find it.  Would you mind sending me a link?  Have you tried the Barns TMZ?  Its very accurate for me, but tough to load.
