stevens model 58 bolt action shotgun
« on: August 22, 2010, 12:35:51 PM »
anybody familiar with the stevens/savage 58 in 410? ive been after a magazine for it for years... i figure if i go to enough gunshows, and ask enough people, one might appear...

does anybody know if it is possible to cross refference parts- meaning if they used the same parts on different guns?

ive seen some in internetland for the 58b and whatnot, but no mags secifically for 2 1/2 inch shells...

ive tried most of the gun parts sites and have been watching gunbroker and  what not
catch it. kill it. cook it. eat it.

AWS,

appreciate it, but what is making this a dificult mag to find is that the gun is only chambered in 2 1/2, and all the clips out there are for 2 3/4+ ive spend most of the morning searching the internet for one......

Try calling savage.
(413) 568-7001 for parts and service (please have your serial number and credit card available)
I bet they can at least point you in the right direction.

savage said to go to numrich, numrich only has a mag for 2 3/4 & 3 inch which doesnt sound right... the worst part is that i was on hold for 10 minutes only to get told by some lady in a super nasaly new york accent(worst sound in the world) that she doesnt know anything about guns and to hold on while i get transfered.... so i hung up.

im going on a trip down the coast, ill just stop at every gunshop i see from here to san diego. probability says i should find something.....
