Ya that was funny. I grew up hunting Roosies and dont find them any tougher to hunt than Rockies. Highly  pressured rockies act just like highly pressured Roosies, Low pressured Roosies act just like low pressured Rockies. Elk are Elk , just have to know how to hunt them or get lucky. Its always nice to be lucky!

I just like the "where u really have to know how to hunt" part lol, maybe he could tell us or better yet SHOW us how to hunt? Lol child please

Was the "412" bull done up by a certain taxidermist in Shelton that has been making replicas of the antlers?

well one of my hunting partners has the number one archery bull inthe state and another has the number one muzzloader in the state  including the world these are roosevelt elk that is where you have to know how to really hunt.one scored 363 and the other 412
A Roosevelt 412? That's impressive, since the Boone & Crockett world record Roosevelt is 404 6/8.

I guess that would be make it a pretty big "bull" story".

hey bucklucky, I heard from a friend's, dad's, brother's, uncle's, sister who knows a guy who drove by hanford once and he said that he saw a bull that would easily go over 600".  He's gonna email me the picture, but I bet it's photoshopped too!   :chuckle:

fish and game have been trying to get the department of interior to OK an elk hunt on hanford for a while now, they offered them many studies given by biologist, and the department of ecology but to no avail. The dept of the interior says the land is to pristine to let people walk around on it??? Even the hunt manager disagrees with them and would love to get a few of us out there hunting, he would like to see 10 tags for that area. Maby some day.

Here is the reason for their aversion to a Hanford hunt-

Some choice quotes:

"So far, their research finds crust is fairly resilient to periodic spraying, but it doesn't do so well say when it's stepped on. You see, to get good crust it has to grow for centuries."

"On our way back to the truck she winces with every hop-scotch step.'Walk soft,' she said. It's hard to walk any other way, once you've seen up close what's under foot."

That's right, folks.  Seems like PETA has a new branch - PETARD.  People for the Ethical Treatment And Respect for Dirt.

All photoshopped!!

In Alchase's world bulls that big are a "pigment" of my imagination! :ACRY:

Seriously, there is just something about a +400 double droptine bull that just makes me all light headed.......just can't figure out why  :dunno:
